How Most People Learn Information
For better illustration, I’m going to use a real life example.
Let’s say you want to improve your English grammar skills, and you want to do it all by yourself. So you go to the World Wide Web and start searching. The common places to do so is of course YouTube or Google.
Now, what most people will do by default is to randomly go to YouTube or Google, wrote their search term, and search info about grammar. This is what most people do when it comes to learning new information.
I know, because I was the same. And I’m quite positive whoever is reading this follow the same path.
Now, if this is your approach to learning something, I can promise that this way of learning new information will result in overwhelmed and frustrated mind. Because there is so much information you could be learning about English grammar; it’s even ridiculous.
And as you will be searching all the information will seem useable to learn. And you will try to learn something here and there and not really progress at all. You will be all over the place, frustrated and want to cry.
You will progress but very slowly and have a bigger chance to stop learning English grammar altogether. Which means, you will fail. Which then means, you will downgrade self-belief and confidence in your abilities. Which then can harm the next things you decide to do and succeed at.
Now I, the success doctor, have a cure for this not to happen.
The best doctor is one who can prevent the diseases before it actually happens.
I will give you a powerful process you can follow through to ensure that this never happens to you. I went through a lot of frustration and failures myself and now can give to those who
Here we go…
What is THE Smartest Way How to Learn Information for Maximum Result?
The first thing is to realize is that you can’t, per se, cheat the learning phase – you got to get the right info in your head. But what you can do is to improve the learning process and the speed of the process.
People like to cheat and shortcut everything. And to some extent you can shortcut learning phase, but you can’t cheat it.
I like to look at everything from a point of straight path to success. Which means, the fastest and straightest path towards attaining a SPECIFIC desired end result as the logic allows. In another words, by shortcutting the path (the process) based on the Universal laws and how things are and work in the world based on REALITY.
Not to lose 10kg in 7 days because an ad said so. But how to lose the most weight possible by doing the things that are linked together with losing weight in the most efficient way possible based on all the other variations surrounded by individual. This will include his environment, life, genes, physical conditioning, mental state etc.
A straight path to success of losing weight
So what is the straight path to success of learning information for maximum result?
The best way, of course, would be to get the formula from someone else who already did the job. Someone who already went that path and now
Because in this way, you can save tons of time and effort. Imagine you 1 week after you consumed info, but you now put it together and constructed in an organized and logical manner for others to learn faster. This is what I’m talking about.
There is no point to learn everything by yourself if you don’t have to.
“Organisms who only learn through their own trials and errors loses to the organisms that learns from other organisms trials and errors.” – Richard Dawkins
It’s much smarter to buy a program and course and gain specific and structured info and learn it in a easy, straight-forward manner than to learn everything all by yourself through trial and error.
But usually it’s hard to find a good source of information, or it costs a lot. Unfortunately, most people care too much about making money than to provide real value in the marketplace. So you got 3 options: 1. Take quality time to find out 2. Get lucky 3. Or find out from others 1st one is the best option because it gives all power and control in your hands. 2 options is just a lot of drama. 3 option same – can result in a lot of drama.
But there are people who really care about providing real value. Buying courses and programs from them is an investment if what you learn is connected and is focused specifically on your targeted outcome.
Find someone who has or can teach you how to get the result you want/
Now acknowledging that most courses, programs and products out there are crap is a part of the process. Finding good from all the crap is what is required.
How to go about it…
3 Big Tips to Learn Information for Maximum Result
1.Have a Targeted Outcome
I can’t stress enough how important is to have a targeted outcome, not many but one specific at time. This is how real, target focus is achieved. This is how to get results fast and succeed fast.
Not by shortcutting the path but by actually compressing the path – by learning and doing things specifically that are connected with your targeted outcome.
Specifically define why and what you need to do before doing anything.
Doing something will not guarantee results. Effort doesn’t equal results. Doing certain things to achieve a certain result will. There is no point to spend time doing things that don’t need to be done at all.
“Don’t confuse activity with productivity. Many people are simply busy being busy.” -Robin Sharma
Just by taking couple of minutes to pause and write down your main objective and what you should learn and do in order to attain your targeted outcome can save a lot of time and pointlessly spent efforts.
A few minutes.
Even a few seconds can do the trick. Spend few minutes, win hours.
Not only that, as you do so, you will develop a habit of pausing before acting out and that habit can save you hours and hours of doing and learning pointless things that have some importance but not really.
Couple second can do the trick, once you are AWARE.
So the first step is to before you decide to learn or do anything, pause a little bit and take some time to reflect and specifically define why and what you need to do before doing anything.
What I have found out is that actually physically writing down on paper works the best.
2. APPLY the information you learned Immediately Or As Soon As You Can
By default, we humans like to learn and feel smart. It makes us feel good. Neurologically what happens is that when we learn NEW THINGS, our brains reward us with dopamine as the reward for exploring the environment.
Dr Emrah Düzel, UCL Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience said said: “When we see something new, we see it has a potential for rewarding us in some way. This potential that lies in new things motivates us to explore our environment for rewards. The brain learns that the stimulus, once familiar, has no reward associated with it and so it loses its potential. For this reason, only completely new objects activate the midbrain area and increase our levels of dopamine.”
Now our brains don’t know that the data we explore are from this World Wide Web and it is endless and most of it pointless to us.
But, evolutionary speaking, this is one of the things we get rewarded to do more.
And so by default, we can get addicted to learn new things “new data” and not use it. But if we not use it than what was the point to learn it in the first place?
If you don’t apply what you learned, what was the point to spend time learning it?
Even this information “data” I’m giving to you in this blog post, I strongly suggest you
Personally, I like to learn new things all the time. And in the past, I didn’t apply the data I learned that much, and, in the result of that, I kinda get stuck in theories about things how to do and how things are in my head.
So I know the danger of not applying the info right away.
Now I try to apply info as soon as possible. If I can’t, however, I write down and write down when to apply. It keeps you grounded in reality and the habit to do stuff holds more value than learning things all the time with no reason and purpose.
Learning all the time is pointless. Yes – in that moment – you think you know but wait 1,2 days later… you will forget almost everything you learned if you don’t apply information immediately.
Just reading or watching is not enough to really remember information.
It takes discipline to really do what needs to be done to really deepen the info in subconscious mind, but it is a smart way to learn because this is how our brain works.
So the second thing is to apply the info you learn right away or as soon as you can.
3. Keep Learning Until
Continue to learn until – until the successful end. Until you learned the info, applied and now get result you need\want.
The thing most people don’t realize is that they have a built-in success servo-mechanism within their brains. Maxwell Waltz in his book Psycho-Cybernetic explained it in great detail about this mechanism we all have.
In short, this just means if you continue to learn and take easy with the learning process and just continue to learn, your brains will put together and organize all the data you learned and eventually you will figure out —you will succeed.
Have you ever had experience of learning something new and in the beginning everything seemed difficult and you quite don’t get it? Then the next day you did the same thing, and now you saw things more clearly and doing or remembering them was easier.
We all have experience life’s situations like that. And there is science to why this happens.
While in the process of learning something or doing something, you get in the data in your brains. When you sleep, your brains work hard to organize all that data. And so the next day your brains are cleaner and the data now is deepened more into your powerful subconscious mind.
Now combine that with the fact that we have a built-in success servo-mechanism which will in zigzag format find its way to a goal.
We can come to a conclusion: To succeed in learning (or mastering doing anything for that matter) all we need to do is to take a “chill pill” and just feed our brains with right data and continue to learn in as logical and sequent way possible until we succeed.
What can stop is our own limiting beliefs and false ideas about ourselves and our abilities: I’m not smart enough, I don’t know how I never was and never will, it’s hard, it’s too difficult etc. ; and success killers like self-criticism, doubt, worry, impatience, laziness etc.
So the last step is to take a “chill pill” and just get the right data in your head until the subject is learned by allowing our body to do the hard work for us.
OK, there you have it: my 3 big tips that can help you to learn information in a smart way for maximum result.
Not typical vague information that sounds good but is based on nothing but hype and noise of the world. This information, if applied, can really help you to learn smarter.
Smarter doesn’t mean learning more by putting more time and effort, but rather learning less by spending less time and putting less effort to attain the same result.
You learn not to learn, you learn to learn the information (knowledge) which then you can use it in your life to get the end RESULT you want.
